Grand Forks is the perfect location to explore far away from the big city.

There is plenty to keep you occupied in this wonderful little city. In summer take advantage of our
wonderful weather for all of your outdoor activities; fishing, hiking, tubing, cycling the kettle valley trail,
to name but a few.
Grand Forks holds a farmers market twice weekly where you can sample the local fare and browse the
artisan arts and crafts. In the evenings there is a small historic movie house, bowling alley, and weekly
music in the park. The summer also offers you the opportunity to mine at Rock Candy Mountain, visit
the local orchard, and year round Grand Forks Art Gallery, Dairyland Organics and Caba’s Quilting
Cottage. The Doukhobor heritage is ever present and you can tour the old school house, museum and
flour mill, and in the many cafes sample the traditional Russian food.
Grand Forks makes for the perfect base to explore the surrounding areas besides being the midway
stop point on the drive from Vancouver to Calgary along the scenic Highway 3. Only 15 minutes away is
the beautiful resort of Christina Lake with its sandy beaches and water sports, as well as its golf courses.
Heading west there are the vineyards and orchards of Osoyoos and Oliver, heading east the lakes and
mountains of Nelson, Salmo and Creston, and with two border crossings to the USA at either side of
town, the possibilities are endless.
